Instructions
Start by combining the mirin, soy sauces, oyster sauce, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Give it a good stir to ensure everything is well combined.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over high heat. Sautee the onions for two minutes. Add the garlic and saute for another minute until it starts to brown.
Add the beef. Break it up as it cooks. Stir occasionally to ensure even browning.
Add your chopped bell peppers. Once the beef turns from red to brown, it's ready for the next step.
Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked beef in the skillet. Let it simmer for another two minutes.
Stir in the green onions if using and garnish with some sesame seeds (if using).
