Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts approximately 1kg/2lbs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of salt use more or less according to you personal preference
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Prepare the Spice Rub: In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except chicken. Mix well until the spices are evenly distributed.
  • Coat the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the bowl with the spice mixture. Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.

Stovetop Method:

  • Heat a large stainless steel skillet over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet.
  • Cook for 4-7 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the chicken, until the outside is golden brown and the inside is no longer pink.(Chicken's internal temperature is 165°F (74°C)

Grill Method:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the grill grates.
  • Grill for 4-7 minutes on each side, adjusting the cooking time based on the thickness of the chicken, until the outside is nicely charred and the inside is fully cooked. (Chicken's internal temperature is 165°F (74°C)

Rest and Serve:

  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat source. Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Slice the chicken and serve!
